If your passport is running out of room for new visas and visa stamps, but you still have a lot of time left before its expiration date you should add extra visa pages. Adding visa pages to your passport is easy.
An easy and cheap way to add passport visa pages is to do it while you are overseas at a US consulate or embassy. They do it for free and often while you wait. Just check the consulate or embassy’s website for the hours of their citizen services. Here is a list of all foreign consulate and embassies with links to their websites.
If you can be without your passport for several weeks you can do it for free by following the directions on the State Department’s website, fill out the form DS-4085, mail in your passport and wait. If you only want to wait a couple weeks instead of several you can pay the State Department an extra $60 for expedited service.
You can also get pages added in a couple days by getting an appointment at a US State Department Passport Agency. You need an appointment and can find that information here.
If you can’t wait or be without your passport for long and aren’t near a Passport Agency, you can use any number of passport expediter services. Be aware that they often charge steep fees.
