Daily Travel Tip: How to pick the best seat on the airplane

You should always request to pick your seat as soon as you book a flight. Before I pick my seat, I always go to either www.seatguru.com or www.seatexpert.com. Both sites provide plane diagrams and highlight the good and bad seats.

If you have a BlackBerry or other cell phone that can access web pages, SeatGuru has a mobile website at http://mobile.seatguru.com/ that allows you to quickly find the best seat from your cell phone.  I've used the mobile version a couple of times when I switched flights at the last minute and wanted to make sure I didn't get a bad seat on an unfamiliar plane.
